Taking out the trash!
Wednesday, July 13 was the day St. Timothy cleaned up the roadside for the Adopt-A-Highway project.
Under the guidance of Dianne
Sloan, Marcy Saar, Mary Lou Krott, Kristie Bloomquist and Kathy Carlson took to the road and collected 5 bags of garbage.
"We had no idea we would collect this much garbage...not to mention that we chose the hottest day of the summer to do it (88 degrees)!", says Dianne.
Kudos to the 2 cars and State Trooper who stopped to say, "Thank You!"
Each year in November, St. Timothy receives funds earned through Goodsearch and Goodshop – an online search engine that allows registered users to earn money for a particular non-profit organization of their choice. Members receive $.01 for searching from their website and if shopping using Goodshop, a percentage of their purchase at participating businesses will be donated back to St. Timothy.
This year's donation to the Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy has been earmarked for the Bemus Creek property donated to CWC by Dan and Shauna Anderson and is located on Walker Road in Bemus Point. John Jablonski, Executive Director and member of St. Timothy, is excited at the possibilities of this piece of land for our community and the offer by the Andersons to continue to maintain the property.
The Community Outreach Ministry is committed to using these funds for area organizations servicing and/or working with residents from the Bemus Point area. Previous donations have been made to the Bemus Point and Fluvanna Libraries, Meals on Wheels, 4H and CASA.

Help, Hope and Healing
Addiction does not have to be a life sentence but the struggle is very real. Addiction Response Ministry exists to help the addict find help, hope and healing in Jesus Christ. The power of God, the Life in His Word, the strength in His Name, and the Love in His heart can help anyone who calls on His name to begin a new day, a new change of direction, and a new life of freedom and release from the chains of addiction.

Homeless Sleeping Mats
Kristie Bloomquist, Council President, presents a completed sleeping mat to Jeff Smith, Executive Director of St. Susan's Center. The Caring & Sharing Ministry has launched this community service project with Chautauqua Mall to provide 3' x 6' plastic mats for our area homeless.
They are always seeking volunteers to cut, connect and/or crochet these mats.

In the year of the Coronavirus Pandemic, the Church Council voted to donate our Community Oureach monies to the St. Susan Center. It is our hope that the $265 donation will be a help in providing meals for all who are in need in this very difficult time in our country's history.
